Funeral benefits under Social Security have been proposed by the Auckland Woollen Mills Union and will be recommended by the Federation of Labour to the Government. Thfe federation also endorsed a proposal from the same union that surgical appliances necessary to persons with physical disabilities should be covered by social security.—(P.A.)
