FATHER RESCUES CHILDREN

CAR CATCHES FIRE (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 15. ' Trapped in a burning car at Auckland this morning, four children were Rved when the father of three of em smashed in the car window and rescued them. He was Mr Frederick Edwin Lewis, aged 48. who was admitted to hospital with severe lacerations to an arm. His daughter, aged eeven, was treated for cuts. The car was being filled with petrol when it suddenly burst into flames.
