PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following estimate has been pre- ' pared and approved by the Amuri CoUnty . Council for the period of twelve months • commencing on the First Day of April, ; 1946, and ending on the Thirty-first Day ; of March, 1947: 1. PURSUANT to Section 54 of "The Rating Act, 1925,” PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf, it is the intention of the Amuri County Council at its next ordinary meeting, to be held at 10.30 a.m. on Friday, the Fifth Day of July, 1946, at the Council Chambers, Culverden, to make and levy the following rates:— 1. Under Section 120 of "The Counties Act, 1920,” a general rate of one penny farthing in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls of the said county 2. Under Section 127 of "The Counties Act, 1920,” and Section 21 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926.” (a) A Waiau Hall special rate of two twenty-fifths’ of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Waiau Hall Loan Special Area. (b) A Mandamus (Tekoa) River Bridge Coan Special rate of three-twen-tieths of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Mandamus (Tekoa) Bridge Special Area. 3. Under Section 45 of "The Water Supply Act. 1908” (a) A Balmoral water race rate ot threefifths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all class “A" lands: a rate of three-tenths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all class "B” lands and a rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all class C” lands in the Balmoral Water Race District. (b) A Waiau Plains water race rate of one penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Waiau Plains Water Race Special area. SUCH RATES to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1946, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1947 and shall be due and payable in one sum on the first day of September, 1946, at the County Office.
