LAND FOR SELECTION BY EX-SERVICEMEN. APPLICATIONS for two undefined sections are invited from Ex-Servicemen of the present war, who have been classified as eligible for rehabilitation assistance and who have been graded "A” for Dairy Farming in the Kaikoura District. Completed applications must be lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Blenheim, on or before 4 p.m. on the 27th day of June, 1946. The ballot will be held in the Courthouse at Kaikoura on Friday, the 28th June, 1946, at 2 p.m. The successful applicants will require to accept employment on the block pending the completion of an improvement programme. These sections are situated on the Elms Settlement, bn the Main Highway about four miles south of Kaikoura between the Kowhai and Kaitarau rivers. There is a telephone to the Manager’s house, Kaikoura Exchange. Each area after further devedlopment is expected to carry either 45 cows or from 35 to 40 cows and 100 ewes. A copy of the advertisement, giving full particulars and the terms and conditions of selection, may be seen at any Rehabilitation Office, where the necessary application forms may also be dbtained.
