NEGLIGENT DRIVING CHARGE

(P.A.) DANNEVIRKE. June 15. Bernard Harbottle, labourer, aged 18, of Otane, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on two counts of negligent driving causing death and one of unlawfully converting a motor-lorry. This was the sequel to an accident at Matamau on the night of May 11, when the truck driven by the accused collided with a Newman Bros, bus, causing the deaths of two passengers in the bus.
