ASHBURTON FANCIERS’ SOCIETY

ANNUAL DOG SHOW A good entry of more than 80 dogs was received for the kennel section of the Ashburton Fanciers’ Society’s annual show on Saturday. The judge was Mr R. N. Elliott : of Picton. The award for the best dog in the show was won by J. Lightfoot’s cocker spaniel, Glendale Orange Flare, the runner-up being Mrs C. L. Ridgen's Pekingese, Champion PungKee of Montresor. The best opposite sex was Mrs H. M. Sapio's pointer, Cruchfield Calling Winners of championship challenge awards were as follows:—West Highland white terriers: W. and L.
