CHINESE CIVIL WAR
NATIONALIST FORCES
ADVANCE
NANKING, June 13. Although the 15-day truce appears to have been reduced to scrap paper, General G. C. Marshall’s headquarters said that, negotiations were still going on. Meanwhile, the Central News Agency has reported that the Nationalists advancing in Manchuria have pushed back the Communists north of Changchun and south of the Sungari river. They captured Nungan and Swatein, and frustrated attempted landings near Tsing-Tao, which is garrisoned by the United States Marines.
The Communists are attacking strongly along the Shansi Province railways.
