WOMEN’S MISSIONARY COMMITTEE
ANNUAL MEETING The report presented to the annual meeting or the Christchurch United Women’s Missionary Committee showed a substantial increase in the number of places in New Zealand assisted by the committee in their arrangements for Women’s Day of Prayer. It was decided to allocate the offering for the Day of Prayer as follows: £15 for two Chinese orphans supported by the committee, £lO to the world-wide Mission to Lepers; £5O to the National Missionary Council. The following officers were elected: —president, Mrs R. Dudley; vice-presi-dents, Mrs A. C. Purchas and Mrs (Major) Searle; treasurer. Mrs S. D. Wallis. The appointment of a secretary was held over till the next meetIn recognition iff her 12 years’ service as secretary, Mrs F. J. T. Grigg was elected a life member. Mrs Dudley was thanked for the use of her home for the meeting.
