RABBIT DESTRUCTION
Sir,—lt is decidedly a disappointment that the suggestion of E. C. Studholme (May 13) about rabbit destruction has received no encouragement from your readers; i.e., that a reward be offered to anyone finding some better and more humane method than at g resent employed. Would not the .P.C:A. be a suitable body to sponsor this effort, providing funds for the purpose were subscribed by those interested. Our young country of New Zealand has been spared the ravages of war. Does it not behove us to see that it be kept clear of the responsibility incurred by any unnecessary acts of cruelty?—Yours, etc., E. E. HANNAM. June 14, 1946.
