CHILD’S DEATH AFTER COLLISION <P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 14. Injuries received by Lawrence Vincent Ryde, aged five, when a collision occurred between a cycle ridden by his father and a car near Hawera last night, resulted in the death of the child in the Hawera Hospital to-day. The father. Lawrence Norman Ryde, who was carrying the child on the bicycle, was killed instantly. WOMAN INJURED Miss Anastasia Betty Frawley, 32 Thornton street. St. Albans, was involved in an accident with a motorcar at the corner of Lichfield and Manchester streets about 6.30 p.m. yesterday, receiving head injuries. She was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 6.50 p.m., and her condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory.
