DISPUTE BETWEEN JUDGES
U.S. SUPREME COURT (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 11. In a 2000-word statement cabled to the United States Senate and the Hpuse of Representatives judicial committees, Mr Justice Robert Jackson, of the United States Supreme Court, who is the chief United States prosecutor at the Nuremberg war crimes trial, said his Supreme Court colleague, Mr Justice Hugo Black had “threatened him with war” unless he covered, up the facts of a case in which a former law partner of Mr Justice Black was involved. “If war is declared I propose to wage it with the weapons of an open warrior, not those of a stealthy assassin,” said Mr Justice Jackson. Mr Justice Jackson's statement also alleged that Mr Justice Blqck was behind what he described as unjustified press attacks on him. •
