TRUCE BEGINS IN MANCHURIA
(N.2 Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) NANKING. June 8. The 15-day truce in the Chinese civil war became effective at noon yesterday, halting the campaign by 500,000 Government and Communist troops on the Manchurian plain. Isolated skirmishing may continue.
