NEW CHRISTCHURCH SUB-STATION
HIGHER TRANSMISSION VOLTAGES
A large new electric sub-station would be built in Christchurch, said the Assistant-Commissioner of Works (Mr T. G. Beck) at the North Canterbury regional planning conference yesterday. Power could only be brought to Christchurch from Coal creek by a higher transmission voltage.
