SPECIAL MODELS CODING FROM CANADA ( PrA-’ . ..WELLINGTON, June 5. oo fast that they may have to be tested on the Ohakea airstrip, 25 new highway patrol cap are on the way to New Zealand for traffic supervision duties. They are coming from Canada, where they are known as police models. Although normal coupes in appearance, they have 100 horse-power’ engines and special high-speed rear axles, with the result that they are probably capable of a speed of 120 miles an hour.
Although no official request has been made for the use of the air-strip, it is said that officials of the department consider that the ordinary highway is no place for putting such cars through theix paces.
