M’CREADY BEATS NEWMAN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 6. Making his first appearance in Wellington. Leo Newman was beaten by Earl McCready in the Town Hall to-night by two falls to one. the bout ending in the sixth round. There was a sensation in the fourth round when the police intervened and issued a warning against excessive punching.
