REHABILITATION CENTRE
Sir,— During the recent by-election campaign, reference was made to the purchase of a Riccarton site for a rehabilitation training centre, which is under consideration. Interested disabled soldiers would like to know if the purchase has been completed, and, if not completed, why? If the property is to be purchased, could the Minister gay how long a period will elapse before construction of the centre is started?— Yours, etc.. REHABILITATION. April 12, 1943. [This letter was referred to the Minister of Rehabilitation (the Hon. R. Semple), who made the following comment; “The question of purchasing a site for the establishment of a vocational training centre in Christchurch is still under consideration. Due publicity will be given to it when a decision is reached.’’]
