DISPOSAL OF ARMY VEHICLES
Vehicles valued at £67,699 (excluding those bought by Government departments) have been sold to dale under the Army vehicles disposal scheme in the South Island. The No. 3 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr T. H. Langford), who returned from the North Island yesterday, said that the return of these trucks to civilian service lessened his anxiety about transport facilities in various districts and industries.
Commenting on the system of selling, Mr Langford said that there had been many expressions of satisfaction from buyers, and no complaints about the treatment.
