HEATHCOTE AFFAIRS
Sir,—Many districts from the area of the Heathcote County Council have now joined the city. Murray-Aynsley Hill will go in shortly. What is the reason? Apparently ratepayers are dissatisfied with the service given. Shortly Cashmere will be left to carry the whole overhead charges of the county. Cashmere should also make a move. lam prepared to meet half of the cost of a public meeting to hear the pros and cons of amalgamation.— Yours, etc., INFORMATION. June 11, 1943.
