LODGE BENEFITS
Sir,—Under present, legislation if a person is a member ‘of a lodge, and happens to become ill, he receives £1 a week from the lodge, will he get in addition full Social Security benefits? I am informed he will get but 10s a week from the Social Security Department when receiving the aforesaid £l.—Yours, etc., LODGE. June 11, 1943. • [When this letter was referred to an officer of the Social Security Department, he said: ‘‘lt depends to what class of benefit the correspondent re-
fers, and also whether he has any other income besides his lodge allowance. If the correspondent will get in touch with the Social Security Department. the matter will be fully explained.”]
