As a result of an arrangement with the chain department stores and the grocers and chemists, most stores arc now displaying receptacles for the collection of tubes. The wholesalers have agreed to collect the lubes from the shops and deliver them to the board, but at present the shops prefer to retain their supplies and use them for possible purchasers. It will be recollected, said the report, that this campaign went off to a bad start, as the drive was launched from Wellington without anv Prior advice being given to (he Canterbury Board, Having learned of ttic drive by accident the organising committee did everything in its power to ensure that the drive was a suc-v?-V, All P ubllc ,ity in this connexion has been released by Wellington.
