FAILURE TO ENROL
FARM HAND SENT TO GAOL (P.A.> AUCKLAND. June 14. _ A sentence of three months’ imprisonment was passed by Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M.. to-day on a reservist, James Andrew Harrison, aged 27, a farm hand, who, he said, had dodged enrolling in the National Reserve for nearly three years. The charge was one of failing to make aoplication for enrolment, to which Harrison pleaded guilty. “You got away with it for a long time," said the Magistrate. “I don’t think there are many in New Zealand like you. Now you will have to pay the penalty.”
