Sir .—“The Press” recently announced the gazetting of the Medical Advertisements Regulations. Six points were mentioned. Most of these the public will heartily endorse. After the six points, it states, “Only recognised pharmaceutical drugs may be advertised. ...” A New Zealand magistrate recently pointed out that medical practitioners have no monopoly of the healing art. But this would seem to cut out anything unorthodox, even the healing plant and herb, provided, in His goodness, by God Himself, and used by men in all ages, long before moderns medical science appeared. The trained, qualified herbalist is how recognised as a legitimate healer in most countries, certainly in England and America.
