FORM OF BUDGET

MR HOLLAND ASKS FOR SIMPLIFICATION From Our Parliamentary Reporter WELLINGTON, June 9. A plea of a more simple presentation/of the Budget was made by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr S. G. Holland) in the debate on the financial statement in the House of Representatives last evening. Mr Holland said that it was impossible for a layman to follow it, but full understanding was essential to clear judgment. The statement should be simple enough to be understood by those who footed the bill. He said this year’s Budget was a great improvement on last year’s, when, for instance, no comparative information was given on s6me points.
