MAGISTRATE'S COURT
* MONDAY (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.) REMANDS GRANTED
A remand was granted concerning a charge of alleged theft against Henry Harold McGrath, rubber worker, until June 8 - . n It was alleged that on June 3 McGrath had stolen one gallon of peti'ol, Valued at 2s 9id, the property of Victor Charles Curtis. A plea of not guilty was entered. Geoffrey Redmond Turner, labourer, was charged that on June 3 he had broken and entered by night the home of James Leith Jamieson, at Leithfield, and committed theft.
He was remanded until June 14 OBSCENE LANGUAGE
Norman Dents Wood, aged 35, a turner, pleaded guilty to having been found drunk and using obscene language in Cathedral square on June 5. He was fined 10s and ordered to pay expenses on the first charge, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment, and £2 on the language charge.
