ELLESMERE A. AND P. SHOW

Although a definite decision as to whether a show should be held this year was deferred until a future meeting, the general committee of the Ellesmere Agricultural and Pastoral Association selected Thursday, October 21, as the tentative date. Several members expressed the view that a show should be held on a modified scale. Last year’s fixture was allowed to lapse because of the war. Subcommittees and class stewards were appointed.

Early Lamb in South Taranaki.— Thought to be the earliest in South Taranaki for many years, a ewe lamb was born last week on the property; of Messrs Campbell Brothers, Whakamara.
