The property was purchased 20 years ago from Mr H. Quane, and is part of a 70-year-old estate that at one time comprised 50 acres, the entrance being from Papanui road. The Salvation Army has purchased the property with a view to erecting a new maternity hospital. Messrs Ford and Hadfield handled the sale, and transfer.
