VALUABLE PROPERTY DEAL
SITE FOR NEW MATERNITY HOME A property pomprising four acre? of land on which is a 13-roomed house in Paparoa street, Papanui, was sold yesterday on account of the Beadel estate to the Salvation Army at a price running into several thousands of pounds. The property was purchased 20 years ago from Mr H. Quane, and is part of a 70-year-old estate that at one time comprised 50 acres, the entrance being from Papanui road. The Salvation Army has purchased the property with a view to erecting a new maternity hospital. Messrs Ford and Hadfield handled the sale, and transfer.
