WESTLAND LAND BOARD
$ Land was granted to the following applicants at the June meeting of the Westland Land Board:—R. G. Honey, J W. McGhie, Mrs L. E. Jones, West Coast Farmers’ Co-operative Lime Company. The applications of G. Mills and J. J, Mclntosh were adjourned, and those of H. T. Surgenor, D. J- Diednchs, and Butler Bros., Ltd., were refused. Timber splitting licences were granted N. Kelly, W. Kelly, V. Ward, A. Priest, J. Pamment, L. A. Sadler, n! Dore, and G. Hunt. Transfers were granted Francis John Haddock to Thomas Francis Walsh; Alice Allan to John Warren; John McKenzie to Jack McKenzie and M, H. K. McKenzie. Fee simple was granted to Alan Thomas Elcock (Wiitaha). Application by the Conservator of Forests for the renewal of proposals for expenditure of amounts due to the local counties for the quarter ended March 31, 1943 (Grey County Council £640 0s 7d, Westland County Council £142 15s Id) were approved. The application of Frances Radomski to sub-lease an area of 15 acres to W. Wall, at a rental of £3 a year, was granted. The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the district (Mr B L. King) presided.
