In Fairlie last week the Timaru Players presented the comedy “Lilies of the Field” to a crowded house and the sum of about £SO was raised. This will go towards the Te Tawa convalescent home for returned soldiers. The home, which is near Timaru, is primarily for South Canterbury servicemen, but if, room is available soldiers from other districts will be ad-
