* PROBLEMS SEEN FOR AUTHORITIES (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 2. “In dealing with existing power problems the supply authorities will be compelled to look further afield and to extend their scope far beyond that ordinarily sufficient for their needs on a pre-war basis,” said Mr R. H. Bartley, general manager of the Auckland Power Board, in his annual report today. Consumers generally had accepted war-time difficulties in a co-operative spirit, he said. Mr Bartley announced that the board had a big construction programme in hand, but the problems of securing materials and equipment were many.
