UPPER RICCARTON CHURCH ELECTS OFFICERS

Officers elected at the annual meeting of St. Peter’s Church, Upper Riccarton, were: Vicar’s warden, Mr G. W. Brown; people’s warden and treasurer, Mr H. Cranfield; vestry, Messrs L. Armstrong, T. A. Guy, C. Blank, J. Drewitt, C. Butler, J. Rountree, H. A. Ford, D. Baxter, and N. P. Humm. Mr Albert Freeman resigned as auditor after 40 years’ service, and the appointment of a successor was left to the incoming vestry. It was reported that church finances were in a satisfactory state. Plans were discussed and decisions were made for more active participation in the Campaign for Christian Order and youth movements. The Rev. F. Cook presided.
