SUBURBAN R.S.A. CENTRES
* A movement to establish Returned Services’ Association centres in all suburbs, primarily for the convenience of men coming back from the present war, is being considered in Christchurch. The Riccarton sub-branch has had the offer of a central section in the suburb, if a building can be established, and has sought permission to ask the help of local residents and to apply for a contribution from the proceeds of a national art union. The Christchurch executive suggested that a local appeal might not receive the same consideration as a general proposal, and this aspect will be discussed to-night at a meeting of the suburban committees’ executive.
