POWER SUPPLY DIFFICULTIES

REPORT TO BE PREPARED (P.A.) PALMERSTON N„ May 31. The president of the Power Boards and Supply Authorities’ Association (Mr J. A. Nash) stated to-day that the recent conference of the association held here had considered the present shortage of electric power, and how and when future requirements would be provided for. It was agreed that a committee consisting of Messrs W. A. Waters (Palmerston North), and Hutton (Wellington), of the engineers’ branch, and Wylie (Napier), and Brown (Wairarapa), of the secretaries’ branch, prepare a report. It was hoped that similar committees would be set up in Hamilton and Christchurch. Finally these committees would prepare a joint report to the executive for presentation to the annual conference of the association at Napier in August.
