Colonial Sugar.—The 172 nd annual report of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company says that the profits for the year ended March 31 last amounted to £1,041,601. The board proposes to pay a final dividend amounting to 17s a share, which will absorb £497,250, and £469,439 is carried forward. For the last season production in Australia was less than that of the previous year because of the shortage of labour and fertilisers. In Fiji about 5 per cent, more cane was crushed than during 1941. Sales of refined sugar in the Commonwealth and New Zealand, amounting to more than 500,000 tons, constituted a record.—Sydney, *May 31. Trustees,. Executors, and Agency.—The Trustees, Executors, and Agency Company has declared a dividend of 4 per cent., making seven per cent, for the year ended March 31. P.A.
