ABATTOIR FEES INCREASED

CITY COUNCIL'S DECISION

An increase in charges at the city abattoir, estimated to augment its annual income by £750, was approved last night by the Christchurch City Council. In recommending this increase the reserves and abattoir committee drew attention to a loss on the operation of the abattoir for the year ended March 31, 1938, of £3218.
