OBITUARY

MR A. K. JACKSON The death occurred yesterday of Mr A. K. Jackson, who was well known in business circles throughout New Zea:nnd. He had for many years been closely associated with the electrical trade, first with Ellis and Company, Ltd., of Auckland, and latterly with the National Carbon Proprietary, Ltd., of Christchurch, of which firm he was general manager. Mr Jackson was born in Auckland in .1895, and was educated at the Grafton Primary School and later at the Auckland Grammar School, where he was prominent on the sporting field, becoming a member of the first eleven in his first year. He was a member of the Auckland Grammar School cricket team which visited Christchurch in the inter-school contest for the Heajhcote-Williams Shield and put up a fine performance by taking six wickets for 40 runs. >Mr Jackson is survived by his wife ¥ * one pon *
