Giant radio towers that can be turned on their mountings to aim radio gjffiak in any desired direction have recently been completed for shortwave station PCY in Holland. Mounted on wheels that roll along circular tracks, the 200-foor towers support the station’s special directional wires and allow them to be adjusted to any point on the compass to produce a directional effect similar to that obtained with the common type of loop antenna employed by aircraft.
