Imme'diately after Mr Chamberlain’s audience with the King, the following announcement was made from Buckingham Palace:— “At the request of Mr Chamberlain the King has cancelled bis journey to Glasgow to-night, - The Queen, accom-' panied by the Princesses, will carry out the programme as arranged, both for the visit to the Empire Exhibition and for launching the Queen Elizabeth. In the evening Her Majesty will return* to Balmoral for a short period.
