GREYMOUTH, September 24.

A decision to relax the restrictions on the export of white pine timber to Australia to permit the shipment of 1,000,000 superficial feet, has been made by the Government. The decision is believed to have been made in an effort to assist sawmills cutting that timber on the West Coast. • The export of 1,000,000 feet to Australia was allowed in June this year by the Government, but because of the irregularity of supplies caused by the restrictions imposed in March, 1936, it is believed that some difficulty in placing the shipment was experienced by millers. i
