DEATH OF ACCOUNTANT The verdict of the Coroner, Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., at an inquest held yesterday concerning the death of Albert Edward Harvey, aged 39, ot 4518 Colombo street. Sydenham, was that Harvey died on July 28, the cause of death being toxemia associated witn lobar pneumonia. VERDICT OF SUICIDE An inquest concerning the death of Elsie Lorna Tipple at Christchurch on August 4 was held yesterday. The Coroner, Mr 'E. C. Levvey, S.M., returned a verdict of suicide by poisoning, while in ; a state of mental 'disorder. SUICIDE BY GAS POISONING An inquest concerning the death ot Eliza Margaret Williams. * known as Lila Montgorriery, a domestic, aged 60, of 276 Hereford street, was held at the Coroner’s Court yesterday. Constable L. D Harrowfield gave evidence about finding the dead woman at 276 Hereford street in a room with her head near a gas stove The finding of the Coroner, Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.. was that the woman committed suicide. DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE Medical evidence at an inquest held yesterday concerning the death of John Kennedy Brown, aged 25, an accountant, of 42 Lincoln road, on August 8, showed that he died from heart failure due to toxic inflammation of the heart and resulting from acute influenza. The Coroner, Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M. gave his verdict in accordance with the medical evidence. DEATH FROM BURNS An adjourned inquest concerning the death of Margaret Walker Asher, aged 59, of 8 Grafton street, on August 16, was held yesterday. The Coroner, Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., found that death was due to toxemia resulting from the secondary infection of burns on her body. The injuries were suffered at her home at 8 Grafton street when, possibly, during the course ot. or while recovering from, an epileptic fit, her "Clothing ignited, the Coroner added.
