VIENNA, September 21.
Negotiations between Cardinal Innitzer and the Nazi authorities have broken "down.
A Catholic statement declares that the new matrimonial laws, the confiscation of Church property, and the suppression of Catholic schools prove that further negotiations at present would be hopeless. A pastoral letter read in aH the Austrian churches stated that many Catholics have lost their employment because of their faith.
