CHARGE OF BREAKING AND ENTERING
POSSESSION OF A REVOLVER ALLEGED
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELIOB4H.) AUCKLAND, September 21. Alleged to have been found in the possession of a seven-chambered revolver, loaded In" six chambers, a youth was arrested on Tuesday night in a house in New Lynn on a charge of breaking and entering. Following investigations made by Constable Boag in the Henderson and New Lynn districts during the last few months, the police have seized a quantity of goods alleged to have been stolen from several premises which were entered this year. Some of the property was found in the ceiling of the house, and some under the house. It included five radio sets, cigarettes, tobacco, and groceries. The police are making further inquiries in the districts. A radio mechanic, Vernon Williamson, aged 19, appeared before Mr C. R, Orr Walker, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day charged with breaking and entering the shop of Ina Larosa, in Green Bay, with intent to commit a crime.
On the application of the police the accused was remanded until next Thursday. “Because the accused was found wPh a loaded firearm in his possession,' I oppose bail in this case,” said Detec-tive-Sergeant McHugh, when the Magistrate mehtioned the question of bail.
