APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS
Recent issues of the Gazette include the following appointments and promotions of officers -, in the Territorial Forces:—Second-Lieutenant T. WStraker, Sixteenth Light Battery, to be lieutenant (dated July 15, 1938); Captain M. A. Bull ,and Lieutenant R. E. Solomon, Southern Artillery Group, are transferred to the Canterbury Regiment (dated September T, 1937); Lieutenant W. Hughes, Fourth' Cadet Battalion, Canterbury Regiment, to be captain (dated April 22, 1938); Captain W. G. Rich, M. 8., Third Field Ambulance, New Zealand -Medical Corps, to be major (dated May 11, 1937); Lieutenant S. Hunter, M. 8., F.R.C.S., to be captain (dated May 11, 1937); Lieutenant H. E. W. Roberton, M. 8., to be captain (dated . October 10, 1937); Lieutenant A. R. Alexander, Southland Regiment, is posted to the First Battalion, Canterbury Regiment (dated £pril 22. 1938).
