CRICKET
HAREWOOD CLUB
The annual meeting of the Harewood Cricket "Club was held at Rickerby's Hall, Papanui. There was a good attendance of members. » : ■ The treasurer's report showed a credit balance of £2lB 14s. Because of the strong financial position, of the club the meeting decided to reduce the annual subscription. ■ It was decided to foster the interests in the game of young players in the district.
The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr H. W. Hawke; president. Mr K. H. Mcßeath; vice-presidents, Messrs D. H. Law, L. Watson. T M. T. Grant, C. Moore, T. Sisson, R. G. Robinson. E. Morven, W. Sleeman, sen.', and Rickerby; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Brown; club captain, Mr W. Sleeman; committee, Messrs A. Hay, A. Morwood, A. Nelson, G. Goodall. F. Shipley. A. Shipley, and W. Power; delegates to Christchurch Suburban- Cricket -Association, Messrs F. Shipley and W." Sleeman; delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr G. Goodall.
