Endorsement of the principle-, of asking the Government to organise the sale and distribution of fruit in co-operation with representatives of the growers was given almost unanimously by a meeting of 150 Hawke's Bay fruitgrowers held on Saturday night ' It Was recalled that at the combir d fruitgrowers' conference in Wellington in August it had been decided by a practically unanimous vote to ask the Government to co-operate with growers in organising the sale and distribution of pip fruit, and for a guarantee for such fruit The text of the resolution carried on Saturday night involved the same principle but, in addition, made it clear that organisation was sought-for, all fruit, both'local and export.
