WELLINGTON, September 18. Public health administration in the United States of America Great Britain, and the Continent of, Europe will be studied by the Dir«*torGeneral of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt who will leave Auckland for San Francisco by the Monterey to-mor-row In making this announcement on Saturday, the Minister for Health (the Hon, P. Fraser) said that the Director of the Hospitals Dr R. A. Shore, would act as Direc tor-General of Health curing the absence from New Zealand of Dr. Watt’s tour will be made under the auspices of the Rockefeller Foundation of New Yprk. In addition to studying public, health administration, he will also visit research institutions and* investigate the latest advances in medical ana hospital practice. • - ' ' _ In 1925, as Deputy Director-Gen-eral of Health, Dr. Watt attended a conference of medical officers, from all parts of the world, which was held in Japan under the auspices ox the League of Nations. Later he visited Korea and then America, where he spent about three months. Dr. Watt left Wellington for Auckland by the Main Trunk: express on Saturday afternoon. He expects to be away from,; New Zealand about eight months. , ■
