DOMINION CONFERENCE OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES
The fifth annual conference of the Dominion Federation of School Committees' Associations will open in the Christchurch City Council Chambers on Tuesday, and will continue until Thursday. The Dominion president (Mr R. S. H. Buchanan) will preside, and delegates representing school committees in all parts of New Zealand will attend, It is'hoped that the Min- " '"' ' '•"■ *,
ister for Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) will-be able to attend at least one session!of the conference. The Mayor (Mr R. M. Macfarlane) will open the conference officially on Tuesday evening, and leading Christchurch educationists ; will give addresses. All proceedings: will be open to school committeemen and those interested in primary schools. ._
