ANNUAL BALL
BANKS PENINSULA CRUISING CLUB
OFFICERS ENTERTAIN
That members of the Banks Peninsula Cruising Club are familiar with bays outside the Lyttelton Heads, was evident to guests who attended the club’s annual ball held last evening at the Winter Garden. Alcoves represented bays and sandy coves—visited by members during the year, and above the dancers were suspended lifebuoys bearing names of ships familiar to cruising enthusiasts, and club burgees and streamers. Pussywillows gave a springtime touch to the lounge. The invitations extended by the Commodore and officers of the club had been accepted by many guests who had enjoyed their hospitality on previous occasions.
Members of the organising committee were Messrs J. D. Hudson, H. A. Sutcliffe, H. Treseder, D. W. Meyers, E. Coombes, B. Webber, C. Allen, R. W. Roberts, A. Morten, and A.
