APPEAL WON BY JAPANESE

PEARLING LUGGER SEIZED IN AUSTRALIA (Received September 14, 10.30 pun.) DARWIN, September 14. Judge Wells, in the Supreme Court, upheld the appeal of the Japanese owners for the return of thj pearling lugger Takschiho Mara, which' was seized last year by a patrol boat for alleged trespass in Australian territorial waters. He also awarded the owners £2OOO damages and the return of the pearl shell. Other appeals are pending.

The Commonwealth Government has obtained a stay of proceedings for 21 days.
