In view of the political situation the King is returning from Scotland to-night. Twenty-three Ministers are present at the Cabinet meeting, which is expected to continue all day. A erowd of 2000 has packed Downing Street. The Geneva correspondent of the Australian Associated Press says that after a long telephone conversation with the Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons) the Australian representative (Mr S. M. Bruce) left for London by air so as to keep in c’oser touch with developments. A Prague message says the Sudeten leaders, Herr ' Kundt and Herr Peters, have gone to Prague to hold themselves in readiness to do whatever possible on behalf of the Sudetens. Herr Kundt said; “The next few hours will decide whether it is peace or war.” The indications are that Herr Henlein will personally direct all future developments. There is no likelihood now of his going to Prague. Many Sudetens crossed the frontier overnight. A body of 500 rushed past the customs post at Walsdorf to security. The police used tear gas to drive out Sudetens who were besieging a frontier customs house. It is understood that a meeting will be held at Lloyd’s on Thursday, at which a proposal to cease quoting war risks altogether will be discussed.
