PROPOSED MEMORIAL TO ARCHBISHOP
MEETING OF CITIZENS CALLED BY MAYOR The raising of funds for a memorial to Archbishop Julius will be considered at a meeting of citizens next Wednesday to be convened by the Mayor (Mr R. M. Macfarlane). The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 4 p.m. It has already been suggested that the memorial should take the form of substantial additions to the Cathedral. These would involve tl - extension of the chancel, a work in which the Archbishop was keenly interested. It, has been estimated that this would cost about £25,000.
